Toot-Toot Toddlers

The first year of life is unlike any other. Between 12 and 24 months, children are experiencing the world with fresh eyes: every texture, sound, and face is new information. Our Toot-Toot Toddlers classroom is designed to honor that wonder while providing the safety, consistency, and warmth that 1-year-olds need to thrive.

Secure attachment is the foundation of everything we do in this classroom. Research consistently shows that children who form secure relationships with their caregivers in the first years of life develop stronger emotional regulation, better language skills, and greater resilience. Our teachers are trained to be responsive, consistent, and genuinely warm, not just present.

Learning at this age happens through the senses. We offer rich sensory experiences, including water play, textured materials, music, movement, and hands-on exploration, that build neural pathways and support cognitive development. We narrate our actions and your child's experiences throughout the day to build vocabulary and language comprehension long before children can speak in sentences.

Gross motor development is a major focus as well. Whether a child is pulling up, cruising along furniture, or taking their first independent steps, we create safe, encouraging environments for physical milestones to happen naturally and joyfully.
