The Learning Line

At our preschool, we view each child as a capable traveler beginning a lifelong journey of discovery. Just as every train follows its own route, every child develops along a unique path — moving at their own pace, guided by curiosity, connection, and meaningful experiences.

Our Classrooms

Each classroom is thoughtfully designed to meet children right where they are.

Toot-Toot Toddlers

1-year olds

On this track, our 1-year-olds are building the foundation for everything that comes next. Through sensory play, simple songs, and responsive caregiving, children at this stage are developing object permanence, cause-and-effect thinking, and early language skills. Research shows that secure attachment with caregivers during this window directly supports emotional regulation and cognitive growth. We focus on building trust, encouraging first words, and nurturing gross motor milestones like pulling up, cruising, and those exciting first steps.

Busy Boxcars

2-year olds

On this track, our 2-year-olds are in full motion — exploring, testing limits, and discovering independence. This is a critical period for language explosion, with most children adding several new words each week. We support this through read-alouds, narrated play, and rich conversation. Fine motor skills are developing rapidly, so our classrooms are stocked with puzzles, stacking toys, and art materials that build hand strength and coordination. Social-emotional learning is a priority too — we guide children through sharing, turn-taking, and naming their feelings using evidence-based approaches like co-regulation.

Rail Ready Crew

3-year olds

On this track, our 3-year-olds are becoming curious, creative thinkers ready to engage with the world around them. Pre-literacy skills take center stage — phonological awareness, print concepts, and storytelling lay the groundwork for reading success. Numeracy concepts like counting, sorting, and pattern recognition are woven into daily play. Research from the National Institute for Early Education Research confirms that high-quality preschool at age 3 produces lasting gains in school readiness. We also focus heavily on executive function skills — attention, memory, and self-control — which are stronger predictors of academic success than IQ alone.

Steam Scholars

4-year olds

On this track, our 4-year-olds are gearing up for kindergarten with confidence and curiosity. Children at this stage are developing phonemic awareness, letter-sound correspondence, and early writing skills. Math concepts expand to include simple addition, measurement, and spatial reasoning. Our STEAM-inspired approach encourages children to ask questions, form hypotheses, and problem-solve — skills backed by decades of research as essential for 21st-century learning. Social readiness is equally important: we prepare children to navigate group dynamics, follow multi-step directions, and advocate for themselves in a classroom setting.
